What sailor returning from the Caribbean doesn’t dream of a good beer in Azores Island in the middle the Atlantic?
After a 2200 nautical mile crossing, what a pleasure it will be to come to dock at the port of Ponta Delgada on the island of Sao Miguel
The port’s captain, and Ponta Delgada’s local authorities will be very happy to welcome all sailors and to show them the delights of the islands.
A first ! The arrivals will be spread over several days, and we will be there to welcome you, day or night.
A novelty in this type of event, is that you can leave on whichever day suits you. In agreement with the maritime management you will leave for your home port either alone or grouped with other boats heading in the same direction. The Maritime management will ensure that you still are supported to your destination with the same organisation of satellite tracking, sending weather files, routing if necessary as on the first stage. In this way you will finish your return transatlantic crossing under the best conditions of monitoring and safety.
